Hampton Waters is gifted with quiet streets, friendly neighbors and beautiful natural surroundings, providing a wealth of activities for many interests.
BULKHEAD/DOCK
The bulkhead/dock at the end of Island Road in Hampton Waters is owned by our association, and one of the special amenities of our community. Island Road ends abruptly at a stone memorial plaque to the founder of Hampton Waters, Barney Rosset. A trail to the right of this area leads you to the bulkhead/dock. (Click image for map).
Beyond this memorial, is a common area called “The Green” which is used for events such as our annual Summer Party and annual Yard Sale. In the far left corner of the green, a path leads to a beach, and our peninsula.
This is a beautiful place for our residents to admire the view up the deep water channel, watch boat traffic to and from the marinas, take a close look at the osprey nest on our peninsula, or tie up a boat (a permit from the town is required). The water at the dock is relatively shallow, and will accommodate only small boats.
KAYAK/PADDLEBOARD/CANOE RACK
A number of Hampton Waters residents have expressed interest in putting up kayak racks near our water access areas. The association took a survey in 2016, and forty residents responded positively. At this time, the Hampton Waters board is exploring possibilities for location, size, cost, and affect on the community.
